Enhanced horror game with strategic gameplay

Deceit 2 is a premium action game developed by World Makers. This installment is a follow-up to the original asymmetrical multiplayer horror game, Deceit, boasting an upgraded visual experience powered by Unreal Engine 5. It introduces a revamped feature set, strongly emphasizing strategic gameplay while immersing players in a fresh and captivating atmosphere.

Deceit 2 offers a social deduction gaming experience akin to Among Us but with a spine-chilling twist. Set against a backdrop of eerie maps and formidable adversaries, players can take on the role of either a truth-seeker tasked or become one of the Infected – sinister, demon-like creatures.

Thrilling multiplayer horror with visual upgrades

Deceit 2 thrives on asymmetrical multiplayer dynamics, demanding a minimum of six or, ideally, nine players for full enjoyment. This game offers cross-play functionality across various platforms. Gameplay varies significantly depending on the assigned role. As Truth Seekers, the objective is to accomplish map-related tasks, amassing valuable souls along the way. This can then be exchanged with the Peddler for essential abilities and items crucial for their escape.

Conversely, the Infected, consisting of two players, can conduct rituals transporting all players to a nightmarish realm known as The In-Between. Within this eerie dimension, these Infected individuals can transform into formidable monsters charged with the grim duty of slaying one of the Truth Seekers to conclude the ritual successfully. Furthermore, the game's sinister backdrop is set within Millhaven Asylum, where an occult ceremony unfolded in 1979, leaving only one survivor.

In contrast to its predecessor, this horror game boasts significantly enhanced visuals. The game now harnesses the power of Unreal Engine 5, with substantial improvements made to character appearances, in-game locations, and the design of menacing monsters. However, it's worth noting that a number of players have encountered several issues, including performance-related concerns such as connectivity problems, framerate drops, and occasional crashes.

An excellent game when it works perfectly

Deceit 2 follows the success of its predecessor with upgraded visuals thanks to Unreal Engine 5. It introduces strategic gameplay in an immersive atmosphere. In this asymmetrical multiplayer game, Truth Seekers complete tasks while the Infected aim to hunt them down or perform rituals in The In-Between. With cross-play support, it requires six to nine players for optimal enjoyment. However, some players have reported performance issues like connectivity problems and crashes.
